As the founder of Haus Property Management, Makayla brings nearly two decades of hands-on experience property management. A licensed Realtor® in the State of Michigan, she is known for her professionalism, depth of market knowledge, and strategic approach to property care and investment.

Originally from Indian River, Makayla grew up surrounded by the lakes and landscapes that continue to inspire her work today. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University, she returned to Northern Michigan to launch her career and establish deep community roots in Harbor Springs. She and her husband, Will, are proud to be raising their three daughters here, embracing the small-town values and outdoor lifestyle that make the area so special.

Makayla’s management experience spans vacation rentals, long-term leasing, and association management, giving her an exceptional understanding of the diverse needs of property owners and investors. Her approach blends personalized service with comprehensive oversight—ensuring every property is not only well-maintained, but positioned for lasting success. Whether managing a waterfront home, guiding an association, or helping investors navigate the rental market, Makayla delivers trusted expertise and a commitment to excellence that defines Haus Property Management.

With a deep appreciation for Northern Michigan’s natural beauty and community spirit, Eric plays a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring every property under our care runs seamlessly. He studied History at Eastern Michigan University and Northern Michigan University before spending 16 years in Marquette, where he developed a strong work ethic and a passion for the outdoors.

Since moving to Harbor Springs in 2015, Eric has become a proud ten-year resident, raising his three children—one son and two daughters—who attend Harbor Springs Schools. With more than eight years of experience in the vacation rental industry, Eric brings a meticulous and reliable approach to property operations, owner relations, and guest services. He takes pride in creating smooth, worry-free experiences for both homeowners and visitors, ensuring each stay reflects the quality and care that define Haus Property Management.

Known for his friendly demeanor and steady professionalism, Eric is always willing to lend a hand, answer questions, and go the extra mile to ensure clients and guests feel supported. When he’s not managing operations, he enjoys skiing, beach days, hunting, and fishing—and above all, spending time with his family. His calm expertise and genuine approach make him an indispensable part of the team.
